Pack old underwear, socks, toothbrushes or anything you want to get rid of and then dump them at your destination when you're done with them. Then you'll have room for any souvenirs and less laundry to do when you're back! 😁

Makeup and makeup brushes?… ladies, blusher and mascara is really all we need along with some lip gloss or lip color. Each trip I pack less and less since once I get home I note what I didn’t use more than once or twice and next trip it’s not included.

I thought of another hack learned from a friend. Pack clothing you’ll either toss or give to a charity. Except for what you’ll definitely take home, on your last wear of each item either leave it or toss in the trash. You’ll have lighter luggage or room for souvenirs/purchases on the return trip home. LOL

One of the comments here reminded me of a packing hack I learned from a trip involving both indoor dinner functions and outdoor painting. Take a photo of HOW you packed everything. This helped me remember how to repack as well as how to pack for similar future excursions.

Very informative, to the point, thorough information. I’m learning so much from each video. Thank you! However, an issue I wish to point out for a growing population of allergy sufferers - more and more people go into an Anaphylaxis Attack (like those allergic to nuts or other foods) from perfumes/colognes which results in a very quick death. On an airplane, there is no way or place to escape the smell. Perhaps consider stop ‘talking’ about little perfume tubes in consideration of this issue. 🥴 Again, appreciate your detailed info.

Aloha! I really enjoy your videos. I want to tell you that a regular backpack may not always fit under the seat in front of you. We took a flight from SFO to OGG (Maui) a month ago on United, a Boeing 737. The plane was 40 years old and the seats were reconfigured to where my regular sized backpack could not fit at all under the seat in front of me and there was no room in the above units, so I had to sit with my backpack taking up my very limited seat space for hours.

This was an incredibly easy experience. I applied for Global Entry on 5/1/24 at 3:35am. I was conditionally approved on 5/2/24. I immediately looked for an appointment to have the interview and there was an appointment on 5/3/24 at the Global Entry center at Orlando International Airport. But since the walk from the garage was very long, I checked Sanford Airport and they had an appointment on 5/10/24. I arrived early and they took me a few minutes early. My “interview” took 7 minutes. Just confirmed my name, address, place of work and my countries of visit since 2019. My fingerprints were taken and the officer gave me my KTN. By the time I got back my car I got an email and was approved. I was shocked at how easy and fast the entire experience was from beginning to end.

One other tip is, always wear socks. I left the house in a hurry one time and just put on my slip on tennis shoes without socks. It’s a very uncomfortable feeling to be standing in an airport surrounded by all those people in your bare feet. Not to mention the unsanitary aspect of it. Yuck!! Couldn’t wait to wash my feet!!

If you're wearing a jacket, you can put makeup bushes inside the pockets. Also placing smaller items inside your shoes.

I was at Orlando airport wearing elastic pants a T-shirt and sketchers and pulled over and searched. Whilee I was being patted down about 6 burka wearing passengers were waved through with a smile while pushing a wheel chair loaded with bags..bit I’m blond and white so I understand why I was considered more of a threat.

Once a 350$ bottle of perfume was ‘’confiscated’’ so I purchased a little purse size…dang if they didn’t take that.

I bought a lightweight backpack for a 2 week trip to Iceland, Scotland & Copenhagen. European airlines are super sensitive on what a carry on is & weight (liters) is a big concern. I pack in 2 color schemes (black & white) so everything mix & matches. Because of climate differences I’m NOT bringing jeans which are heavy but thick leggings. I have a small all natural shampoo bar the will be my soap. Toothpaste for me will be baking soda in a small baggy. Not bringing my IPad as my cell phone does the same.

My hack is to take only necessities Or items that will have a dual purpose You don’t have to take Your entire home. If you were out of something, we can always pick it up somewhere Or go without it until I get home.
